19 September 2023 – The Department of Education (DepEd) vehemently condemns the shooting of a public school principal in Sto. Tomas North, Jaen, Nueva Ecija.

The Department is coordinating with the concerned field offices and the police to apprehend the perpetrators of this brutal crime.

We denounce any acts of injustice towards our personnel, learners, and stakeholders. We maintain and advocate that our schools and communities remain as zones of peace for every Filipino.
