Nagsisilbing beacon of hope para sa mga out-of-school youth and children ang Byaheng Kaalaman (Mobile Knowledge) Project na pinangunahan ni Sadat Minandang, kasalukuyang School Principal I ng Lugay-Lugay Central School mula sa Schools Division of Cotabato City.

Ayon sa 2023 Global Teacher Prize Finalist and Ambassador, at One of the Outstanding Teachers in Southeast Asia ng Thailand-based Princess Maha Chakri Award (PMCA) Foundation noong 2019, ito ang nagsisilbing pangalawang pagkakataon na makapag-aral ang mga out-of-school youth at matutuhan ang mga kasanayan at kaalaman na makatutulong sa kanilang future opportunities sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaroon ng isang supportive learning environment na hindi lamang nagbibigay ng academic needs, kun’di pati na rin ng social at emotional needs.

“By reaching out to out-of-school youth and children, it paves the way for a more inclusive and equitable society where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to realize their full potential,” aniya.

Bilang suporta sa pagbabalik-eskwela, ang Byaheng Kaalaman Project ay nagsagawa ng distribusyon ng school supplies para maitaguyod ang equal access to education sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaroon ng sapat na kagamitan para sa lahat ng kabataan, at ang conduct of psychosocial and feeding activities na ang beneficiaries ay learners na nakaranas ng panganib o sakuna.

Tinututukan din ng proyekto ang iba’t ibang aspekto ng edukasyon tulad ng holistic development dahil hindi lamang ito nakatuon sa basic literacy at numeracy skills kun’di pati na rin ang pagtataguyod ng hygiene, child protection, at nutrition. Kasama na rin ang community engagement, empowering teachers, at adaptability and innovation.

Ayon kay Principal Sadat, naging posible ang suporta sa tulong ng mga donors at sponsors na may mahalagang papel sa paghahanda ng mga underprivileged children para sa pasukan, lalo na pagbuo ng supportive at conducive environment para sa pangangailangang academic, social at emotional.

“We plan to enhance the project by incorporating a four-wheeled vehicle from the original motorcycle with sidecar to extend the project’s reach to more communities and children, even in remote areas.”

“The enhanced version will focus on promoting health and nutrition activities such as hand washing and feeding, in line with child rights to survival; and advocate the 5Bs program (Bawat Bata sa Bangsamoro ay Bumabasa at Bumibilang) of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education.”
