Success is an upshot of continuous hard work, determination, and courage to carry on even after a failure. This is what Juliana Gabrielle Milanbilen, a 10th grader from Tagaytay City Science National High School in CALABARZON, experienced as she ventured into the field of campus journalism.
Pursuing her passion in writing was not an easy journey for her; she encountered a lot of challenges and storms along the way. But with the overwhelming support from the people around her, and her unwavering resolve to keep going, she was able to show the world what she is capable of.
Juliana first became a campus journalist when she was in Grade 2. She already tried news writing, sports writing, and radio broadcasting, but never got the chance to reach the nationals. Until she found her niche in TV broadcasting.
Juliana’s journey is a story of inspiration and perseverance. After joining the competition for seven years, giving up was never an option for her. When she switched to TV broadcasting, her talent was finally given the recognition it deserves–she was awarded as the Best Anchor in the 2018 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) held in Dumaguete City.
Juliana strongly believes that part of her mission is to break the chain of misinformation. Thus, she wishes to become a public servant or a journalist someday. This year–her second year in NSPC–is another step closer to realizing her dreams and aspirations.
“Keep going and striving for excellence. I did not give up pursuing my dream,” she enthused.
